PEORIA -- Teen recording artist Ariel Franz has been officially nominated in five categories of the 2026 International Singer Songwriters Association (ISSA) Awards Competition.  Ariel was nominated for:

• USA FEMALE RISING STAR
• USA FEMALE EMERGING ARTIST
• USA FEMALE VOCALIST OF THE YEAR
• USA FEMALE SINGLE OF THE YEAR for "You're That Kind of Beautiful"
• USA MUSIC VIDEO OF THE YEAR for "I Really Hate Loving You"
        Ariel is competing with artists from all around the USA and the competition relies on votes from fans. Results for the top 30 will be announced in May. The 15-year-old made her first appearance at the complex last year, singing the anthem at the Cubs-Padres spring training game.
